I’ve been brushing up on my state history recently and my mother who was born and raised in St. Louis, MO always thought it was weird that we had an entire class devoted to state history. I ran across this and found it interesting (though I knew a good portion of the history since I remember learning about this as a kid in Mexico). I think the title should say Mexican and Black American Solidarity, though. As per usual, I will mention that Black people and Mexicans are not mutually exclusive.
