George Zimmerman, the man charged with second-degree murder in the death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, gave his first public interview with Sean Hannity Wednesday night. When asked if he felt threatened by Martin, Zimmerman responded, “No, not particularly,” and later stated that he had no regrets about the night, stating “It was all God’s plan.”

And now, an early Father’s Day message from Tracy Martin, the father of slain 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

For those of you with children, be thankful you have your kids with you. For those that don’t, I pray for you and your wellbeing.

This message is indeed an unforgettable Father’s Day message.

The Washington Post reports that the prosecutor in the Trayvon Martin case will charge George Zimmerman in the high-profile shooting.

shortformblog:

Florida special prosecutor Angela Corey plans to announce as early as this afternoon that she is charging neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman in the shooting of Trayvon Martin, according to a law enforcement official close to the investigation.

It was not immediately clear what charge Zimmerman will face.

Martin, 17 and unarmed, was shot and killed Feb. 26 by Zimmerman, who said he was acting in self defense. Police in Sanford, Fla., where the shooting took place, did not charge Zimmerman, citing the state’s “stand your ground” law.

Zimmerman just lost his lawyers yesterday, claiming bizarre behavior on the part of their client.

A Song For Trayvon.

ABC News releases surveillance video of arrest of George Zimmerman.

Zimmerman said he had been bloodied badly, had the back of his head slammed into the ground, and was given a broken nose. Does that appear to be the case from this video?

Rep. Bobby Rush (D-Ill.) was chided and escorted from the House floor Wednesday morning for wearing a gray hoodie and sunglasses while delivering a rousing speech about the need for a full investigation into the shooting death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin. (more)
